Walking again after knee treatment

Recovery depends on the treatment and on the knee you started with. After a knee replacement, most patients walk with support within a day or two. Many manage daily activities within 4 to 6 weeks, and strength continues to improve for about 3 to 6 months with regular physiotherapy.

These are typical ranges, not a promise for every patient. Practising the exercises, and coming back for review, matters as much as the operation itself.
