From knee pain to a treatment plan

A patient who comes in with knee pain is not started on surgery. The visit covers how far they can walk, whether pain disturbs sleep, and what has already been tried. The knee is examined and the X-rays are reviewed.

If the arthritis is early, the plan is usually exercise, weight care, and pain relief. If pain is more advanced, bracing or an injection may be added. Replacement is discussed only when those steps no longer give enough relief. The photographs and videos on this website are records of individual visits. They are not a promise of the same result for every patient.
